Agape's Meatloaf (Stuffed Green Peppers)

1.5 lbs hamburger
1 C Contadina breadcrumbs
1 1/4 C milk
1 small dried chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp sage
1 clove crushed garlic (i usually just use garlic powder or salt)

For meatloaf:   Mix all ingredients, spread on ungreased 9x5x3 loaf pan. Spread bbq sauce on top. Cook uncovered at 350 until done (about an hour) serve with mushroom gravy.

For Stuffed Green Peppers: Mix all ingredients and set aside.  Remove insides and wash green peppers, cook for 5 mins in boiling water.  Stuff peppers with meat mixture.  Cook at 350 degrees covered in ungreased loaf pan until done (about an hour)

Mushroom Gravy
mix together in pan:
cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushrooms
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp veg oil
1 beef boulion cube

simmer for a few mins and pour it on the meatloaf and mashed taters!

Krystall's Meatloaf Sauce
The sauce that I make up is really easy and I rarely measure out the ingredients, I just mix to taste.

Ketchup (a cup or two)
Brown Sugar
Ground Nutmeg

Blend well, spread half on top of uncooked meatloaf. Reserve extra sauce for serving on side.

The sauce on the meatloaf will darken as the sugars in the ketchup merge with the brown sugar. The nutmeg adds a special flavor.
