Cheri's Church Stew

Cut up stew meat (sirloin or whatever)
Cut up potatoes
Cut up carrots
Cut up onions

How much? Enough to fit in a big casserole dish with lid, that you can put in an oven.

Put all cut up stuff in casserole dish. Open a can of Campbell's Tomatoe soup and dump it on top, I think you add half can of water. Cover and bake for 3 hours. Probably low heat, like 350.

Rememeber, this is by MEMORY only, I used to make this 20 years ago. It was SO simple, no need to brown meat first. The SECRET is the soup. It makes a juice (almost sauce) that you'll be VERY proud of.

They call it Church Stew because you throw it together, put in oven, and leave for 3 hours. (or less?) Might be 2 hours, check it to make sure. icon_smile.gif
