My passion for photography began while hiking in the mountains of Montana and later the Pacific Northwest.  My photography mainly consisted of landscapes, nature, and macros but my photography has expanded over the past few years to include food and products. 

I joined a few local photography groups and bought my first DSLR in 2007.  I became heavily involved in the Seattle Flickr Meetup group and was one of the group's organizers.  I've experimented with other genres of photography since joining the group from people portraits to cars and architecture.  The group has really opened my eyes to photography and it has been a great learning experience. I've met many wonderful photographers too.
